Development Campaign Manager, Wilmington - 1.0 FTE Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation is seeking a Campaign Manager responsible for day-to-day operation and support of its Capital Campaign to raise $3.5 million to build a hospice care center in Brunswick County. The position requires an energetic, highly organized, self-managing, self-starter with confidence and personal presentation needed to sustain relationships with community leaders and donors. Undergraduate degree in business administration, marketing, or other related field or equivalent required. CFRE a plus. Demonstrated fundraising experience, sales or related experience required. Working knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office systems are essential, as are exemplary written and communication skills. Project management and organizational skills are a must. Staff Nurse, Brunswick - 1.0 FTE (Mon-Fri w/occasional weekends) The Professional Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for patients in life limiting illnesses. The patient population can include newborns through geriatric patients. Is responsible for using the Nursing Process to effectively manage the Plan of Care for each patient based on appropriate nursing standards, policies and procedures. Management of each patient also includes appropriately and effectively delegating patient care duties to other members of the team in order to assure optimal patient outcomes. Development Manager, Annual Giving, Wilmington - 1.0 FTE Development Manager of Annual Giving is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing direct mail and e-philanthropy, contributing to a $2 million annual financial goal. Must have a thorough knowledge of gift recording, reporting and donor stewardship. Demonstrated experience of successful hands-on experience in areas of direct mail, individual gifts required. Outreach Provider Representative, Brunswick - 1.0 FTE Works under the supervision of the Director of Outreach. Develops well-informed, responsive relationships with physicians and their staff, hospital staffs, long-term care facilities, other health care providers, through communication and education to increase patient census and length of stay. Acts as a resource to physicians, patient/families, and assigned facility staff regarding end-of-life issues and palliative care. Acts as a consultant to assess patients for appropriateness of admission when needed. Supports the development and execution of LCFH&LCC’s outreach goals and plan. To visit physician offices, hospitals and extended care facilities on a consistent basis to build awareness of access to LCFH&LCC programs and create a visual presence in the community. Degree in business, marketing or related field preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, either through an AD, Diploma or BSN program a plus. Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of North Carolina if degreed as such. Three years experience required. Prefer hospice or home care. Vice President of Clinical Services, Corporate - 1.0 FTE The Vice President of Clinical Services participates and collaborates as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team in the development of the vision and strategy of the agency. Has responsibility within the Senior Leadership Team for the strategic planning, program development, quality and standards of patient care. Works with other departments to increase efficiencies to improve the delivery of quality patient care. Has overall responsibility for clinical standards and clinical practices and for defining the qualifications and performance expectations for clinical positions within the Clinical Services Department. Serves as a resource/consultant, mentor and coach to clinical staff. Responsible to ensure professional clinical standards are followed within the scope of legal, regulatory and accreditation agencies. Serves as the Chief Nurse Executive for the agency. Bereavement Counselor, Columbus/Bladen - 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) The Bereavement Counselor provides professional grief counseling and education to families of former patients. Group grief education and support is provided to families of former patients and the community. As a member of the IDT, the Bereavement Counselor provides consultation with team members about grief issues and participates in the initial assessment for Bereavement services. The Bereavement Counselor is responsible for continuing his/her personal development to enhance practice. Performs other duties as assigned. MSW from a CSWE accredited School of Social Work or Master’s of Counseling required. NC Certification as a Clinical Social Worker or Counselor required. Physician – Palliative Care/Hospice, Columbus/Bladen County - 1.0 FTE The Palliative Care/Hospice Physician is responsible for the medical component of the palliative care program, performs consultative services to patients/residents and families with life-limiting illnesses; helps to determine and implement policy concerning the medical component of palliative care program and services; and supervises direct medical care with other members of the palliative care team. Acts in the capacity of hospice medical director overseeing the medical components of care to hospice patients in all settings. Performs other duties as assigned. Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy with a degree in medicine or osteopathy required. Management of each patient also includes appropriately and effectively delegating patient care duties to other members of the team in order to assure optimal patient outcomes. Works with Palliative Care Center physicians in the hospital, nursing homes and physician’s office and patient’s homes.
