Endowment Fund
Endowed funds provide a stable source of revenue for a charity's future. Because the principle is never spent and a portion of interest is reinvested, the fund can continue to grow. This brings meaningful support for an agency year after year.
The Lower Cape Fear Hospice Endowment Fund was created in 1984. It is a permanent fund managed by Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation trustees to provide a perpetual source of income for essential agency programs and services. Financial contributions to the fund are invested and never spent. The interest earned is used to support the nonprofit, mission-driven activities Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter offers – hospice care, palliative care, end-of-life education, bereavement and grief counseling for all ages – all of which run at a deficit and depend on charitable contributions to continue.
You can contribute to the Endowment Fund in a variety of ways. Most donors prefer cash gifts and pledges. Friends, loved ones, and colleagues may be memorialized or honored by making a tribute in their name. Donors who give $100 or more join the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter Circles of Caring. Individuals who include Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation Endowment Fund in their will, trust, or estate plan become members of Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation's Sandy Morgan Legacy Society.
