Sandy Morgan was our first hospice patient in 1980. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. Sandy dedicated her life to helping others by enrolling in nursing school and planning to join the Peace Corps. Sadly, her life was cut short by cancer at age 28. We remember and celebrate her life through the Sandy Morgan Legacy Society.

Charitable Remainder Unitrust - Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation"Taffy" and Duncan Phillips were both served by Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter hospice teams. Because of the wonderful care that Duncan received, Mrs. Phillips created a Charitable Remainder Unitrust for her estate, naming our agency as the single largest beneficiary of the CRUT. This incredibly generous gift is being used to support Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter so that others can also receive the gift of hospice. The new Katherine and Duncan Phillips LifeCare & Counseling Center was dedicated in honor of the Phillips' generosity.
